Biography
“We want it all, have it all, and still think we have nothing…”
In the winter of 2008, a naive, 16 year-old version of Raven Zoë picked up the guitar for the first time. The transition from closeted journal-poet to singer/songwriter was instantaneous. Without thinking much of it, she began writing songs in her bedroom. By that summer, she had put up her first musical video (a cover of an Ingrid Michaelson song) on Youtube. One year later - in the summer of 2009 - she released her first EP called “kthxrae” (the name of her first Youtube channel). In December of 2010, she released her first full-length album entitled “Long Story Short” after a song on the album by the same name. Now, at 20 years old, Raven has gotten over 700,000 views on the internet. Enamored by the response of both of her releases, the audience she’s gained on Youtube in the last 3 years, and the general support she’s gotten along the way, Raven’s ambitions have grown. Continuing to independently make and release music, Raven hopes to grow her audience far beyond what it is in hopes that one day, she can share her music with the world.

“Raven’s EP is a quiet, but powerful record. “The Moonlight” is my favorite cut from the EP. “Perfume” is also a stand out track, with the piano helping to break up the album’s mostly acoustic guitar instrumentation. “Not Sure” has some fun lyrics with a nice little twist in the last few lines. Love it. Highly recommended.”
